The Plechelmus is a church in Oldenzaal that's being used for churchservices, weddings, communions, funerals etc. The building fits the environment well, however having said that, the buildings around it are a bit more modern. The building hasn't changed in the years it has been there, and it's been a church since the early days. You can immediatly see it's a church by the high tower. So you can immediatly see what the function of the building is.
The holy Plechelmus (or Pleghelm), was a monk, bisshop and missionary working in the French Netherlands and the German border area. The church is named after him.
The Church only exists out of stone... and ofcourse stained glass windows. The windows are high and big, and with even dimensions next to eachother. The windows are decorated with stained glass, in different colours.
